DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY: LOWER THAMES CROSSING
An ongoing project, started in early 2020, to document the planning and proposed construction of the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC), which, if built would connect the A2 in Kent, east of Gravesend, to the M25 near Upminster in Essex.
The proposed road would cut through Kent and Essex countryside for 14 miles and include the UK’s longest road tunnel under the Thames. Any major road-building project is controversial, and the LTC, initially proposed in 2010, is no exception.
Should the crossing construction be approved, I plan to document its effect on the people and landscape of Kent and Essex. If you live on the proposed route and would like to get involved, please get in touch.
